Beside the Chamber members and their families, also present in the party were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Slagel, Mayor of Richardson; Jennifer Li and David Wu, City of Dallas Business Development; Mr. Ger, Deputy Director of TECO; Grace Medermott, USPAAXX-SW; Sally Magnuson, Plano City Councilwoman; Linda Kao, GDAACC; Mr. and Mrs. Korey Koop, Plano Hsin-Chu Sister Cities; Bruce and Memrie Glasscock, Assistant City Manager of Plano, as well as the major local community group and organization leaders, important banks, law offices, insurance, financial, distinguished business men and women, totaling up to over 500 people.
Other than the routing dinner, dancing, raffle ticket prize drawings and several entertainment programs, the most significant events during the Banquet were the issuing of scholarships to recognize the local outstanding young students and the warm scene of giving away red envelopes to the little boys and girls, as a traditional practice of the Lunar New Year.
The total Banquet was well planned, organized, prepared and progressing seamlessly under the chair of the Chamber President Lydia Huang.
